Backyard Zipline Grew Google Ads Revenue 43% on Less Spend
Backyard Zipline wanted more revenue from Google Ads without raising spend on a large catalog of zipline kits and parts.
The Goal
✔ Grow Revenue Without Raising Spend
✔ Cut Cost Per Conversion
✔ Get More From a Large Catalog
The Solution
Performance Max Split by ROAS Tier
We sorted the catalog into high, middle and low ROAS tiers. Each tier ran as its own Performance Max campaign, next to a Shopping-only campaign. The high-ROAS tier went from 3.27 ROAS to 6.36 year over year.
A Supplemental Merchant Center Feed
We built a supplemental feed in Merchant Center. It fed better product data into Shopping and Performance Max.
Keywords Pulled From Two Summers of Search Terms
We pulled every converting search term from the previous two summer seasons and added the winners as keywords. Then we rebuilt the branded and prospecting campaigns around them.
The Result
Over one full year, Google Ads drove $153,708 in revenue on $29,154 in spend. The year before, the account drove $107,521 on $30,681.
Revenue grew 43% while spend dropped 5%. Conversions nearly doubled from 301 to 571. Cost per conversion fell from $101.93 to $51.06, and ROAS rose from 3.50 to 5.27.
